Spot a Bohemian crystal display

Find a window full of Bohemian crystal glasses and chandeliers (around Old Town there are dozens of shops). Photograph the sparkle.

Spot a Czech beer glass

Find a tall Czech pilsner glass (Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen, Budvar) on a pub table. The thick head of foam is the giveaway. Photograph it.

Spot a Czech goulash

Find a bowl of Czech goulash (beef stew with dumplings) on a pub menu or table. Photograph the gravy with the bread-dumplings (knedlíky).

Spot a Czech kolache or vetrnik

Find a koláč (round filled pastry) or větrník (cream-and-caramel choux) in a bakery window. Photograph the Czech pastry.

Spot a Kafka reference

Find a Kafka reference: the Kafka Museum facade, the rotating Kafka head statue, a "Metamorphosis" cockroach mural, a Kafka quote in a window. Photograph it.

Spot a klobása sausage

Find a grilled klobása (Czech sausage in a bun) at a street stall. The Wenceslas Square stalls have them. Photograph the sausage with mustard.

Spot a marionette

Find a wooden marionette in a souvenir shop window or being operated by a busker. Prague's puppet tradition goes back centuries. Photograph the strings.

Spot a Mucha poster

Find an Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau poster in a shop window, museum, or as decor in a café (Mucha is a Czech icon). Photograph the long curving woman.

Spot a Petřín lookout

Find the Petřín Lookout Tower (small Eiffel cousin) on Petřín Hill, or photograph the funicular climbing up. Photograph the tower or the funicular.

Spot a pilsner pour

Find a bartender pouring a Czech pilsner the traditional way (often three pours with the slanted glass technique). Photograph the pour.

Spot a Powder Tower

Find the Powder Tower (Prašná brána), the gothic gate at the end of Celetná Street. Photograph the dark tower.

Spot a Prague absinthe spoon

Find an absinthe bar or shop with the slotted spoon, sugar cube and green spirit (Hemingway Bar, U Sudu). Photograph the slotted spoon.

Spot a Prague archway lamp

Find one of the wrought-iron lamps hanging in an archway between Malá Strana courtyards. Photograph the lamp glowing in the shadow.

Spot a Prague astronomical-clock skeleton

On the Astronomical Clock the skeleton figure (Death) is one of the four animated figures who appear on the hour. Photograph the skeleton statue beside the dial.

Spot a Prague metro M

Find a red M on a white circle at any Prague metro entrance. Photograph the sign.

Spot a Prague red roof skyline

Find a view of Prague's terracotta-tiled rooftops (from a tower, a hill, the riverbank). Photograph the sea of red against the spires.

Spot a trdelník

Find a trdelník (chimney cake) at a street stall: a hollow cylinder of sugar-coated dough cooked on a spit. Often filled with ice cream. Photograph the cylinder.

Spot Charles Bridge

Walk onto Charles Bridge over the Vltava and photograph the long span with its statues, the towers at either end visible.

Spot cobblestone (kočičí hlavy)

Find a cobblestone street in the old centre (literally "cat's heads" in Czech for the round paving stones). Photograph a stretch.

Spot Prague Castle

Find a view of Prague Castle on the hill across the river (from Charles Bridge, from the Old Town side). Photograph the long ridge of palaces and St. Vitus Cathedral.

Spot St. Vitus Cathedral facade

Climb up to Prague Castle and find the gothic facade of St. Vitus Cathedral. Photograph the rose window and twin towers.

Spot the Astronomical Clock

Walk to Old Town Square and find the Astronomical Clock on the side of the Old Town Hall. Photograph the two dials (or the figures appearing on the hour).

Spot the Charles Bridge statues

On Charles Bridge find one of the thirty Baroque statues lining the parapet (Saint John of Nepomuk's plaque is the famous good-luck rub). Photograph one statue.

Spot the Czech flag

Find a Czech flag (horizontal white-red with a blue triangle) flying on a building, balcony or government facade. Photograph it.

Spot the Dancing House

Find the Dancing House (Tančící dům, Frank Gehry's 1996 building) on Rašínovo nábřeží. Photograph the two curving towers.

Spot the Lennon Wall

Walk to the Lennon Wall on Velkopřevorské náměstí in Malá Strana. Find a colourful new tag and photograph the wall with the team in front.

Spot the Týn Church spires

Find the twin gothic spires of the Church of Our Lady before Týn at the eastern end of Old Town Square. Photograph the spires against the sky.

Spot the Žižkov TV Tower babies

Find David Černý's crawling babies on the Žižkov TV Tower (or on Kampa Island where smaller babies are also displayed). Photograph one baby climbing.

Spot Wenceslas Square statue

Walk to Wenceslas Square and find the equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas at the top in front of the National Museum. Photograph the king on horseback.
