Find a deer trophy mounted on a Bavarian beerhall wall, or an alpine hunting horn, or stuffed Bavarian fauna. Photograph the trophy.

Spot a Bavarian pretzel (Brezn)

Find a giant Bavarian Brezn (pretzel) at a bakery or biergarten. The salt crystals on the dark crust. Photograph the loop.

Spot a Bayern Munich kit

Find a red FC Bayern Munich shirt on someone or in a shop window (or a poster of Müller, Kane, etc). Photograph the kit.

Spot a beer garden long table

Find a Munich biergarten with wooden long tables, gravel underfoot and beer steins everywhere. Photograph the rows.

Spot a BMW logo

Find a BMW logo on a parked car, a billboard, the BMW Welt facade or a souvenir. Photograph the blue-white propeller.

Spot a maypole (Maibaum)

Find a Bavarian Maibaum (blue-and-white spiral maypole with craft trade symbols) on the Viktualienmarkt or in a beer garden. Photograph the pole.

Spot a Munich brewery horse-drawn cart

Find a brewery horse-drawn cart (Hofbräu and Augustiner still use them for events). At Oktoberfest there's a daily parade. Otherwise photograph a brewery delivery truck with horses on the logo.

Spot a Munich Christmas market stall (Christkindlmarkt)

In December find the Christkindlmarkt on Marienplatz with wooden stalls and Glühwein. The rest of the year, find a year-round Glühwein souvenir mug. Photograph the scene.

Spot a Munich heart gingerbread (Lebkuchenherz)

Find a Lebkuchenherz (heart-shaped gingerbread with icing message) at Oktoberfest or in a year-round bakery. Photograph the heart.

Spot a Munich rooftop view (Alter Peter)

Climb the Alter Peter (Saint Peter's) church tower for the postcard view over Marienplatz. Photograph the view (or photograph the tower from below).

Spot a Munich tram

Find a Munich tram (MVG red) on its route in the Altstadt. Photograph one passing the Hauptbahnhof or Karlsplatz.

Spot a sausage seller in costume

During Oktoberfest find a Wirtin in Dirndl with a tray of pretzels or beers. Outside Oktoberfest, find a Trachten shop with the costume on a mannequin. Photograph the costume.

Find a blue U-Bahn sign at any Munich Metro entrance. Photograph the sign.

Spot a Viktualienmarkt stall

Walk to the Viktualienmarkt food market and find a stall with sausages, cheeses, fruit or a maypole. Photograph the stall.

Spot a Weißwurst plate

Find a plate of Weißwurst (Munich white veal sausage) with sweet mustard and a pretzel, usually a morning food. Photograph the pale sausage.

Spot a Würst Imbiss

Find a Würst Imbiss (sausage stand) selling bratwurst or currywurst. Photograph the cart.

Spot an Augustiner beer mat

Find an Augustiner beer mat, coaster or umbrella outside a Bavarian pub. (Augustiner is the unofficial Munich beer.) Photograph the green logo.

Spot an Eisbach surfer

Walk to the Englischer Garten and find the surfers on the Eisbach standing wave. Photograph one mid-ride.

Spot BMW Welt curves

Find a view of BMW Welt or the BMW Tower (the four cylinders). Photograph the steel curves.

Find someone in Lederhosen (leather shorts) or a Dirndl (traditional dress), or a Trachten shop window. Photograph the outfit.

Find the tent-like roof of the Olympic Park (Munich 1972) over the stadium and swimming hall. Photograph the swooping membrane.

Spot the Chinese Tower (Chinesischer Turm)

Find the Chinese Tower in the Englischer Garten, the pagoda above the biergarten. Photograph the wooden tower.

Find the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche from the Marienplatz or a high vantage point. Photograph the silhouette.
