More from this experience
[Customize!] Act out a dream for the future
Use a small group to act out what you wish for the little one later in life in a single photo: a job, a hobby, an adventure. (Organizers: give a theme if you like, or let guests choose freely.)
[Customize!] The question about the parents
A question about the parents-to-be. (Organizers: come up with a question and add the answer, for example "How long have they been together?" or "Where did they meet?".)
Group photo with the parents
Gather as many guests as possible around the parents-to-be for a big group photo. Everyone in it, the parents in the middle.
Team colour
Take a photo where everyone holds or wears something in the colour of their prediction: pink, blue or yellow if you want to keep it neutral. The whole group in frame.
The baby photo line-up
Have as many guests as possible find a baby photo of themselves (on their phone or brought along) and lay them side by side. Take a photo of the row of baby photos. Who is who?
The baby shower group photo
Final challenge: the best photo of the day with the parents-to-be. Not the first one you take, but the one you spend the longest getting right.
The baby sound
Who can imitate a baby most convincingly: babbling, cooing or a mini crying fit? Record a short video of it.
The baby treat
Take a photo of the baby-themed cake, cupcakes or snacks. The sweetest shot of the day.
The best parenting tip
Write your best parenting tip on a card for the parents-to-be. Take a photo of it. Serious or funny both work.
The bump guess
If there is a baby bump and the parent-to-be is happy to play along: have everyone guess the circumference with a piece of string or ribbon, cut it and lay the guesses side by side. Take a photo of all the pieces of string in a row.
The diaper speed test
Who can change a stuffed animal or doll into a diaper the fastest? Record a video of the attempt against the clock, including the panic at the end.
The gift unwrapping moment
Take a photo of the parents-to-be at the moment they unwrap a gift, with a genuine reaction. The moment itself, not posed in advance.
The name suggestion
Write your favourite baby name suggestion big on a board or note. Take a photo of it. It might just win.
The prediction note
Write your prediction for the baby on a note: birth date, weight or a name idea. Take a photo of your filled-in note.
The rocking gesture
Take a photo of a group acting out rocking a baby together: arms folded, soft eyes, as if they are all holding an imaginary baby.
Toast to the parents-to-be
A small group delivers a short congratulations or toast for the parents-to-be, straight into the camera. Record a video of it.
