Farewell Scavenger Hunt
A scavenger hunt for the farewell of a colleague who is leaving or retiring. The challenges bring up good memories from the job, give the team room to say something back and send the leaver off with a smile. Works at the office or during a farewell drink. Two [Customize!] challenges let you add something about the leaver's career.

The guard of honour
The whole team forms two rows for the leaver to walk through, with applause and cheering. Record a video of the walk through the guard of honour.
The reserved desk
Take a photo of the leaver's (soon to be empty) desk with a homemade sign next to it: "Reserved for a legend". Keep it light.
The farewell board
Have as many colleagues as possible write a short message and their name on one big farewell board or sheet. Take a photo of the filled-up board.
The best work memory
Someone tells the best memory with the leaver in about twenty seconds. Record a video of it.
Passing the baton
The leaver symbolically hands an object to a colleague taking over the work: a pen, a key, a coffee mug. Take a photo of the handover.
Impression of the leaver
Someone imitates a typical saying or habit of the leaver: a catchphrase, a walk, a gesture everyone recognizes. Record a short video of it.
The farewell gift
Take a photo of the leaver at the moment the farewell gift is handed over, with a genuine reaction. The moment itself, not posed in advance.
Group hug for the leaver
Gather as many colleagues as possible into a big group hug around the leaver. Take a photo from above if you can, otherwise from the side.
Toast to the new adventure
Someone says out loud what they wish the leaver for the future, and then the team toasts. Record a short video of the toast.
The career timeline
Using notes or objects, lay out a mini timeline of the most important moments from the leaver's career, in the right order. Take a photo of the complete timeline.
Advice for those who stay
The leaver writes one piece of wise advice on a card for the team staying behind. Take a photo of it.
The joke petition
The team writes a funny fake petition titled "You are not allowed to leave" and has everyone sign it. Take a photo of the petition full of signatures.
The last high-five round
The leaver gives everyone in a line one last high-five. Record a video of the whole row of high-fives in one go.
The photo moment at the exit
Take a photo of the leaver at the front door or the exit, waving, ready for the next chapter.
The farewell group photo
Final challenge: one big group photo with the whole team and the leaver in the middle. Find a high spot or climb up somewhere for the overview.
